JSC Nenskra Hydro Vacancies

JSC Nenskra Hydro is a project-based company established 2015 as a result of cooperation between Korea Water Resources Corporation K-water and JSC Partnership Fund. The company will construct the Nenskra Hydropower Plant in the Nenskra and Nakra river Valleys in Mestia Municipality of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region. The 280 MW Nenskra Hydropower Plant will generate approximately 1’200.00 GWh of electricity annually, which will be fully consumed by the Georgian market.

JSC Nenskra Hydro is pleased to announce a vacancy for the position of Stakeholder Engagement and Livelihood Restoration Officer.

Location: Chuberi, Svaneti (construction/operation site)

Main responsibilities:

As member of the Social Team, the Stakeholder Engagement and Livelihood Restoration Officer will work together with the Social Manager and the Land Acquisition Officer to fulfil the duties under the Stakeholder Engagement Plan and Livelihood Restoration Plan.

Specifically, the following tasks will be performed:

  • Review the Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP) of the Nenskra HPP and analyze the SEP commitments;
  • Review the Livelihood Restoration Plan (LRP) of the Nenskra HPP and analyze the LRP commitments;
  • Liaise with the Stakeholders and engage with them according to the SEP;
  • Fulfil the LRP commitments and record performance;
  • Prepare Minutes of Meetings regarding discussions held with Stakeholders;
  • Document Meetings held with stakeholders through photographs and paper documentation report;
  • Develop the Monthly Action Plan to fulfil SEP and LRP commitments and have the plan approved by the Social Manager and the E&S Team Leader;
  • Prepare SEP and LRP Monthly Reports satisfying international lending requirements;
  • Collaborate with the members of the Social Team particularly the Social Manager, CLOs, CIP Officer and CIP Coordinator when fulfilling the above tasks;
  • Collaborate with other members of JSC Nenskra Hydro Project Implementation Team, its Employer’s Representative and appointed Contractor ESHS Team when fulfilling the above tasks;
  • Perform day-to-day job documentation and administration in fulfilling SEP and LRP commitments.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor`s degree in Social Sciences or related field;
  • Computer skills are required (Experience with office management software MS office, PP, etc.);
  • Language requirements: both Georgian and English knowledge (Excellent written and verbal communication skills);
  • 5+ years experience in community or stakeholder engagement, administering, operating, problem solving, trouble shooting, documentation skills, organizational and managing skills.

Other Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Social Sciences or related field is desirable;
  • Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude;
  • Attention to detail and values teamwork and collaboration in an international working environment.
